Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has delivered a rough update on quarterback Dak Prescott following the latter’s injury.

Prescott sustained an injured hamstring late in the third quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons and was ruled out for the remainder of the game. Subsequent reports suggested he could be out for several weeks.

An MRI determined that the injury was worse than initially feared, and Jones has since indicated that the quarterback could be placed on the injury reserve, which would mean he would miss a minimum of four games.

ESPN insider Adam Schefter reported as much on Tuesday morning, noting that the team owner relayed the above to ‘105.3 The Fan.’

“Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told @1053thefan said that QB Dak Prescott is likely to be placed on injured reserve due to his hamstring injury, which would sideline him a minimum of four games,” Schefter wrote.

Cooper Rush, who came on as a replacement for Prescott against the Falcons on Sunday, is expected to start in his place.

Cowboys Fans Are Piling On Amid Dak Prescott’s Injury Woes

Meanwhile, the Cowboys are getting destroyed online after trading for an offensive player ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.

The NFC East outfit sent the Carolina Panthers a fourth-round pick in exchange for second-year wideout Jonathan Mingo and is getting battered on social media.

Cowboys fans are upset over the team going for a receiver instead of addressing their running back problems, but they are mostly angry at Jones for trading away a fourth-rounder for a player who has performed below expectations after the Kansas City Chiefs got a stud in DeAndre Hopkins for a fifth-round pick.
