Two Treasures of America: Simone Biles wins all-around gold at Olympics with floor routine set to Taylor Swift song…
Taylor Swift has been left stunned by Simone Biles using her song ‘Ready For It’ during her USA gymnastics trials for the Paris Olympics.
Four-time Olympic gold medalist Biles, 27, has been competing to earn her place on the team for next month’s games in France and channeled Swift in her floor routine on Friday.
Swift is currently performing in Europe on her hugely successful Eras Tour, with her latest shows being held in Dublin. But the singer still saw Biles being inspired by her music.
Responding to footage shared by the NBC Olympics account on X, Swift wrote: ‘Watched this so many times and still unready. She’s ready for it tho.’
Biles retweeted the comment from Swift but didn’t reply directly to the singer.
Like Swift with Travis Kelce, Biles has had her own NFL cheerleader to support her this week in her bid to book her ticket to the Olympics.
Jonathan Owens, who was traded to the Chicago Bears in the offseason from Green Bay Packers, has been cheering Biles on at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
Swift, meanwhile, is two months into her her Eras dates in Europe, which run through to the middle of August.
She plays her final Dublin show on Sunday night before dates in Amsterdam, Zurich and Milan.
Last week in London, Swift had Kelce join her onstage for the performance of ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart’.
