Zac Efron might have set the standard for the athlete-musician trope in media with his role as Troy Bolton in High School Musical, but Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are living it in real life.
The Ricky Stanicky actor is now aware of the parallels fans are drawing between the modern day power couple’s romance and Bolton and Gabriella Montez’s (played by Vanessa Hudgens) teenage love story.
“Wow, I didn’t think about that. That’s really cool. Shout out to all the High School Musical fans,” the 36-year-old gushed to E! News earlier this week. “I love the whole Travis, Taylor thing. Man, I’m so happy for them. They’re two of the best people in the world. How can you not be stoked?”
