Co-host of The View, Whoopi Goldberg doesn’t believe there’s any way for Donald Trump and JD Vance to make things right after the latest comments made at the Madison Square Garden rally.
At the latest rally for the former president in New York, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage” among other comments. The news spread quickly and many were furious with the statements.
Since the controversial speech, Puerto Ricans are coming out to assist in the fight against re-electing Trump. In the swing state of Pennsylvania, many people have planned a counter-protest before an upcoming rally.
During yesterday’s (October 28) episode of The View, Sunny Hostin claimed the real “trash” is Trump and he needs to be thrown out on Election Day.
JD Vance tried to do damage control following the MSG rally, and told supporters that “we have to stop getting so offended.”
After addressing the joke at another rally in Wausau, Wisconsin, he said that he didn’t know the specifics of what was said because he hadn’t seen it.
“Maybe it’s a stupid racist joke … maybe it’s not,” he went on.
Vance said the joke’s importance wasn’t relevant to “the greatness of American civilization.”
“Let’s have a sense of humor,” he pleaded.
When Whoopi Goldberg addressed his speech on The View today (October 29), she didn’t seem to care for his failed attempt at an apology.
“This is why people have problems with y’all,” she admitted.
The talk show host said that his speech showed insight into “the true family” he belongs to.
As the group of women broke down the demographic of voters, Goldberg pointed out that these comments don’t benefit the group of people that have not been favoring the Republican party.
Goldberg pointed out: ““You did yourselves no favor.”
“You don’t take a shot at the people that already have problems in this country,” Joy Behar added. “Joy Behar also added. “You don’t punch down, you punch up.”
Goldberg explained that Vance, Trump and the other individuals that have spoken at the rallies are showing their true emotions about the votes through their obvious anger.
“You guys are pooping your pants because you got a strong woman,” the actress revealed, referring to the Vice President and current Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
Trump and Harris will go head to head on Election Day, November 5.
