Travis Kelce Sparkly Reacts to Courtney Love comment on Social Media As she makes Blunt Declaration About Taylor Swift’s Music
Everyone has an opinion about Taylor Swift, especially over the past year as she skyrocketed to a new level of stardom. Most recently, Courtney Love made a blunt declaration about the pop superstar—and let’s just say Swifties are not impressed.
During an interview with the Evening Standard published on April 12, Love, 59, spoke on many topics. The former singer and guitarist for the alternative rock band Hole praised female artists like Patti Smith, Julie London, Joni Mitchell, PJ Harvey and Deborah Harry. However, she slammed several popular artists, including Beyoncé, Lana Del Rey and Swift.
“Taylor is not important,” Love, Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain’s widow, told the publication. “She might be a safe space for girls, and she’s probably the Madonna of now, but she’s not interesting as an artist.”
Unsurprisingly, Swifties who caught wind of Love’s opinion of the “Is It Over Now?” singer were not impressed.
One X user wrote, “100 years from now, the name Courtney Love will mean nothing. Not a single person will know who she is. But when Taylor Swift is mentioned, people will remember how she was able to connect with millions of people thru her music, cherished her fans, and fought for artists’ rights.”
Another person on X pointed out, “I guess the biggest artist in the world. The one with the most streams. The most sales. The biggest tour. The highest chart placements. The most impact. Is somehow… ‘not important.’ Okay Courtney…:
Meanwhile, another X user snarked, “Said courtney love, who hasn’t been important since the 90s.”
Yet another person wrote, “Courtney Love came in here and said Taylor swift isn’t important, she doesn’t like Beyoncé music and Lana del Rey should take seven years off. Now she getting dragged by multiple fandoms.”
What do you think of Love’s comments about Swift?
