The Moment IL Volo and Pia Toscano Stepped Onto the Stage, No One Could Have Predicted the Unstoppable Wave of Vocal Power That Was About to Sweep Over the Audience—Their Flawless Harmonies Soared Through the Spanish Lyrics With Such Passion and Precision That It Sent Chills Through the Crowd, Culminating in a Final Note So Majestic and Resonant It Left the Entire Venue Frozen in Awe Before Erupting Into Thunderous, Uncontainable Applause”
Italian teen tenors Il Volo invited ‘American Idol’ Season 10 alum and balladeer of Italian origin Pia Toscano to perform with them on their PBS special ‘Il Volo Takes Flight.’ Toscano’s big and beautiful voice is the perfect complement for the three boys and their soaring style. These sons and daughters of Italy certainly make their families proud with their voices. It doesn’t hurt that Toscano is easy on the eyes. She is as gorgeous as she sounds.
There were a couple of flirtatious moments during the performance, with the boys and Pia singing to another and hugging. They clearly enjoyed themselves by meshing their voices.
In a pop landscape loaded with marginally talented acts that can’t really sing without a lot of assistance from studio equipment, the trio and Toscano are refreshing — thanks to their vocal acrobatic and their mutually timeless and classic styles. The duet is nothing less than stunning.
This performance is “molto bene,” which, when translated, means “very good.
“La Luna Hizo Esto”
The song, which translates to The Moon Made This, is a beautifully crafted ballad filled with deep emotion and poetic lyrics. The Spanish-language piece showcases the power of storytelling through music, making it a perfect choice for Il Volo and Toscano’s soulful interpretation.
Fans have been raving about the performance, with many calling it one of the most memorable moments of the night. If this is any indication of what’s to come, Il Volo and Pia Toscano may have just set the bar even higher for future collaborations.
