Shocking!!! 3 reasons fans are convinced that the lyrics in Taylor Swift’s new Ambum are about Travis Kelce
After Wednesday, April 17 saw social media filled with reactions to an alleged leak of the album online, some fans who listened to the files highlighted a song that appeared to be “The Alchemy” and claimed that the lyrics were filled with references to Kelce.
One fan took to X to share their thoughts, claiming, “the alchemy is clearly about travis lmao touchdown, greatest in the league, gloves on the bench… ‘where’s the trophy he just comes running over to me.’”
Another also said that the track had “so many football references,” making it hard not to connect it to Kelce who plays football for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Swift and Kelce’s romance has seemed to flourish over the past few months as she supported him throughout the football season.
Many more highlighted the possible “touchdown” lyrics, while some felt it would be too obvious of a lyrical choice for Swift. One Swiftie called the track “one beautiful surprise,” proclaiming that “The Alchemy” is about Travis and saying that it talks about “how they had an instant connection they couldn’t resist.”
Kelce and Swift first connected last year after the former gave Swift a shoutout through his podcast New Heights.
They soon started hanging out and went public with their romance in September when the singer attended her first Chiefs game.
While the debate about the leaked tracks-which have not been confirmed as real, as of writing-is sure to continue, Swifties will still need to wait until 12 a.m. EST on April 19 to hear the official album when it drops everywhere.
