Duck Dynasty’s Sadie Robertson Stuns Fans with Grandfather Phil’s Final 3-Word Deathbed Message – ‘You Won’t Believe What He Said!
Phil Robertson, the family patriarch, died on Sunday, May 25, at the age of 79
Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson is reflecting on her final moments with her “Papaw” Phil Robertson.
Sadie took to Instagram following her grandfather’s death on Sunday, May 25, at the age of 79 to pay tribute to his life and legacy alongside photos of them together throughout the years.
In her caption, Sadie shared a Bible verse from Corinthians 5:17, which reads, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
“As I was sitting with Papaw Phil today, I thought about this verse… he has already experienced on this earth — going from dead to alive by the power of Christ,” she wrote. “It was his testimony that changed his life, our families life, and thousands of others. Now he is experiencing it in the fullness. Fully alive in Christ. The new has come.”
Sadie, who is expecting her third child with her husband Christian Huff, then shared what is now one of her final memories with her grandfather.
“One of the last things he said to me was ‘full strength ahead!’ Amen!” she wrote.
The following day, Sadie shared a new Instagram post about her grandfather in which she wrote, “I wrote in my post yesterday that he touched ‘thousands,’ and I can confidently correct that now to millions.”
Phil’s death came months after his family revealed in December that he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

Sadie’s parents, Willie Robertson and Korie Robertson, shared a joint Instagram post in the wake of Phil’s death, writing, “We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord.”
“Thank you for the love and prayers of so many whose lives have been impacted by his life,” they continued, in part. “We are grateful for his life on earth and will continue the legacy of love for God and love for others until we see him again.”

Duck Dynasty aired on A&E for 11 seasons between 2012 and 2017, following the lives of the Robertson family as they worked together at their family business, Duck Commander. Phil was the founder and president of the hunting company, which he began in 1972 with a now-patented duck call.
The series spawned several spinoffs and, in January, A&E announced that the show would return to the network as Duck Dynasty: The Revival.
The reality show revival is expected to premiere June 1 on A&E.
