Brittany Mahomes steals Taylor Swift’s iconic look: Who wore it better?
It’s not the first time Brittany has copied Taylor’s style.

Brittany Mahomes is making headlines yet again, this time for allegedly “stealing” one of Taylor Swift’s most iconic looks. The famous wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was spotted rocking the same sparkly mini dress from Area that Swift wore on her December 2023 TIME Person of the Year cover.
While on vacation in Mexico for a friend’s bachelorette, Mahomes, 28, flaunted the $1,595 studded design with shiny gold heels and matching hoop earrings. Her hair was styled in an updo with face-framing tendrils, mirroring Swift’s look on the cover.
This isn’t the first time Mahomes and Swift have twinned. In January 2024, they both wore custom Kristin Juszczyk coats at a Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami Dolphins game while supporting their respective men.
Brittany’s jacket featured Patrick’s football number, 15, and last name, while Swift’s was finished with Kelce’s number, 87, as well as “Chiefs Kingdom” embroidery.

Swiftand Brittany have become fast friends since the singer’s romance with Kelce, 34. They’ve been seen hugging, sharing touchdown handshakes, and enjoying nights out with more friends including Selena Gomez, Sophie Turner, and Gigi Hadid.
In October 2023, a source exclusively told Us Weekly, “Brittany is thrilled to be building a genuine friendship with Taylor.”
“They’ve hung out a couple of times and have grown fairly close in a short period of time. Brittany thinks Taylor is so sweet, and down to earth, and they get along really great,” the source claimed.
After the Chiefs won the Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers earlier this month, the friends celebrated together at a Las Vegas club. Swift and Brittany were seen wrapping their arms around each other and dancing.

Brittany is also fully embracing her celebrity status away from Swift. On Friday, Mahomes, 28, shared a photo to her Instagram Story of her posing in a racy one-piece swimsuit while partying on a boat. The bathing suit included skin-baring, asymmetrical cutouts and gold metal rings for a touch of bling.
Her girls’ getaway comes on the heels of her daughter Sterling Skye’s third birthday and her husband’s third Super Bowl win on Feb. 11. So, along with her SI Swim shoot, she’s definitely had a lot to celebrate.
