Brandon Sklenar Lands Major Role in Taylor Sheridan’s Mysterious New Blockbuster! What Secrets Await on the Big Screen? Fans Are Buzzing with Anticipation for This Explosive Collaboration—Will It Redefine Cinema? Get Ready for an Unforgettable Cinematic Journey!
Spencer Dutton may have ridden off into the sunset with the series finale of 1923, but Brandon Sklenar isn’t done working with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan just yet. While his future in the Yellowstone universe remains unclear, the 1923 star is confirmed to reunite with Sheridan for a brand-new film titled F.A.S.T.—a project that’s already turning heads.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sklenar will lead the cast of F.A.S.T., a long-in-the-works action thriller penned by Sheridan. Set to be directed by Ben Richardson—who also helmed episodes of 1923, 1883, Yellowstone, and Mayor of Kingstown—the film promises to be another gritty, high-stakes story in Sheridan’s signature style.
What We Know About F.A.S.T.
Originally written in the mid-2010s, F.A.S.T. centers around a former special forces commando recruited by the DEA to lead a covert strike team against drug dealers—dealers who just so happen to be protected by the CIA. If you’re a fan of Sheridan’s Sicario or Special Ops: Lioness, this new thriller is right up your alley.
In a joint statement, Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group heads Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy praised the creative team, saying,
“The breadth of Taylor Sheridan’s body of work is simply astounding and unparalleled in sheer excellence and consistent quality… With the hugely talented director Ben Richardson behind the camera and the exceptional producing talents of Heyday Films and Bosque Ranch, we are thrilled to have such an incredible creative team bringing F.A.S.T. to the big screen.”
A Major Career Move for Brandon Sklenar
Sklenar, who stole hearts as the tortured Spencer Dutton in 1923, is quickly becoming a leading man to watch. In addition to F.A.S.T., he’s already lined up roles in the film adaptation of It Ends With Us and the upcoming movie version of The Housemaid. Sheridan’s next film seems like a natural fit for the rising star, who’s proven he can carry both emotional drama and action-heavy roles.
A Long Road to Production
F.A.S.T. has taken a winding path to the screen. Initially developed at Warner Bros., the film bounced over to Amazon before landing back at Warner Bros. Negotiations between Paramount (where Sheridan has an exclusive TV deal) and Warner Bros. are ongoing to bring the project to theaters.
Now, it’s officially on the calendar: F.A.S.T. is slated to hit theaters on April 23, 2027.
With Sklenar in the lead and Sheridan behind the script, F.A.S.T. is shaping up to be a must-watch addition to the filmmaker’s gritty action-packed catalog.
