Wheel of Fortune’s Pat Sajak is reportedly being kept up to date with what happens behind the scenes of the famous game show thanks to his daughter Maggie Sajak.

Pat’s final Wheel of Fortune episode aired on June 7 and while it’s on break, Ryan Seacrest has been gearing up to become the next host.

Maggie, who is the Wheel’s social media correspondent, has been “filling him in on how things are going,” a source told Closer Weekly.

“She has her dad’s sense of humor, and they’re both going to get a kick out of seeing Ryan handle the job,” the insider added, noting that Pat hasn’t been the biggest supporter for his successor.

It was reported that Pat was “clearly resentful of the way he was treated and then kicked off the show.”

Now, the insider says Maggie “thinks it stinks the way he’s been treated.”

Adds the source: “She obviously would support Pat, he’s her dad.”

Meanwhile, the American Idol host is reportedly insecure as he prepares to take on hosting duties.

“Pat made [hosting] look so easy, but it involves more than just pleasantries and looking good,” the insider noted.

“Ryan’s fully aware that everything he does or says is getting back to Pat, and it’s making him feel a little insecure knowing he’s not part of the club yet and maybe never will be.”

This has happened to Seacrest before apparently.

“It’s like what he faced on Live! when he first started,” said the source.

“There’s not much he can say about it, if he picks a fight with anybody he’ll be torn to pieces. So, Ryan’s being nice to everybody and saying what he feels knowing it’ll go back to Pat, who’s not his biggest fan.”

Another source told Closer earlier this month that Seacrest is going to extreme efforts to buy affection from his Wheel colleagues – including co-host Vanna White.

“Ryan knows he’s got huge shoes to fill being a worthy replacement for Pat,” the insider said.

“He’s in full Mr. Nice Guy mode, putting on the charm, lavishing Vanna and everyone else on the show with his homemade cooking, bringing treats and the occasional gift just because he thought they would like it.”

The source continued: “He’s making a huge effort with Vanna and trying to win favor by taking her out to dinner and trying to get through any lingering tensions they’ve got.”

Meanwhile, Wheel fans recently praised Maggie for having her father’s humor after she made a hilarious joke.

Maggie showed her humorous side in an Instagram post which saw her posing in a white floral dress and sandals while sitting on a wooden swing.

She captioned her photo with a classic dad joke, writing: “My opinion on swings? Honestly, I go back and forth.”

Fans quickly took to the comment section to praise her for “inheriting her father’s humor.”

“You inherited that humor from your Dad!” wrote one Instagram user.

Added another: “Thank you Pat Jr! Perfect and so pretty!!”

“Your sense of humor is so great!” wrote a third.
