The longtime TV game show host sat down for his first interview since he had an emergency surgery after getting a “horrific pain” in his stomach due to an intestinal blockage.
“Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak is back in the studio after undergoing an emergency surgery to repair a blocked intestine.
In his first interview since having the surgery in November, Sajak spoke to “Good Morning America’s” Paula Faris about the health scare.

“My blood pressure had fallen dramatically,” he told Faris. “They had to wait till it lifted a bit so they could do the surgery. My wife and our daughter was with me, and they were, you know, they didn’t know. I mean, you go in and they don’t know if I’m coming out.”
The game show host also spoke about his co-host Vanna White filling in for him while he recovers.
Sajak’s interview will air Friday on “Good Morning America.”
