Taylor Swift reveals why she fell for Travis Kelce and real reason she goes to games
Taylor Swift finally opened up about her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, and confessed they secretly became a couple much earlier than fans first thought
Taylor Swift revealed why she fell for Travis Kelce, and the real reason she goes to his football games.
The 33-year-old pop icon was named Time magazine’s Person of the Year, and in the accompanying interview, Taylor finally shared details of her whirlwind romance with the Kansas City Chiefs star.
Swifties around the world collectively screamed as the Shake It Off hitmaker opened up about her private life, and admitted she had Travis had been dating for far longer than her fans first thought.

Compared to her clandestine relationship with British actor Joe Alwyn, during which the couple barely spoke about each other and tried to hide while on dates, Taylor is loud and proud about her romance with Travis, and said she was instantly attracted to the NFL star because he jokingly called her out on his podcast.
Back in July, Travis revealed his disappointment at not being able to meet Taylor at her Eras Tour gig in Kansas City, and during an episode of his podcast New Heights, he lamented: “She doesn’t meet anybody, or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal.”

However, Taylor was impressed with his ingenuity at getting her attention, and got in touch with him. “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she explained. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”
The Grammy-winning artist revealed the key to a successful relationship was “showing up for each other”, and sweetly admitted she was “proud” of her sportsman beau.

“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she told Time. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
