Vanna White Confesses Her Biggest Fear About New ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Co-Host Ryan Seacrest

Vanna White Confesses Her Biggest Fear About New ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Co-Host Ryan Seacrest: “I Was Very Scared”

Wheel of Fortune is going to look a little different this season — and Vanna White is shedding light on how she felt about the big change of working alongside Pat Sajak‘s successor, Ryan Seacrest.

On this week’s installment of CBS Sunday Morning, the longtime letter turner opened up about what it’s been like gearing up for the new season alongside the American Idol host, per The Hollywood Reporter.

“I’ve known Ryan for probably 20 years, but in the past couple of months, we’ve done some traveling together for the show, and we got to know each other a little better, too,” she explained. “So I think our chemistry is good.”

As for whether White was “nervous” about her chemistry with Seacrest, she confessed that she “had no idea what to expect” after being “used to one person for so long,” referring to Sajak.

“I was very scared, but he’s doing a great job,” she said.

Despite contrary reports, White and Seacrest appear to be working well together, as Seacrest praised the game show franchise as “incredible” and “special” during Sunday’s segment.

“It’s more than a TV show,” he added. “It is something that means something to people, and when I found out that this was an opportunity for me, there was no thought to this. It was like, absolutely. Let’s figure it out and let’s get started.”

While Sajak’s final episode as Wheel of Fortune co-host aired in June, he will return to take his “final spin” as co-host of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune this October.

Wheel of Fortune kicks off a new era on Monday, Sept. 9. Check out their website for your local listings.
