Travis Kelce’s ex Kayla Nicole appears to throw shade at Chiefs star
Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole appeared to take a thinly-veiled swipe at the Kansas City Chiefs star ahead of their latest win over the New Orleans Saints.
The Chiefs continued the flawless start to their second straight Super Bowl defense on Monday night by defeating the Saints at Arrowhead, a victory which moved them to 5-0 for the season.
It was another successful evening for Kelce, who silenced his critics once again by hauling in nine catches for 70 yards with girlfriend Taylor Swift watching on from the stands.
Prior to last week’s win at the LA Chargers – in which he had seven catches for 89 yards – the tight end had received heavy criticism over his sluggish start to the season, having put up the worst numbers of his career through three games.

And heading into their clash with the Saints, Nicole couldn’t help but point that out when previewing Monday’s game for I Am Athlete Daily.
The 32-year-old broadcaster asked the panel: ‘Been a slow start for the guy Travis Kelce… do you think he’s going to get more than 58.5 receiving yards?’
Fans quickly saw the funny side after Nicole aimed a sly dig at her former man, with one writing: ‘The way I cackled when she said “the guy Travis Kelce” – Kayla you are so real for this lmao’.
Another laughed: ‘The way she acted like she didn’t know who “the guy” was’.
While one put: ‘It’s not personal it’s business baby!’
Nicole dated Kelce from 2017 until May 2022, breaking up more than a year before his whirlwind romance with Swift began.
Nevertheless, she could speak out on her failed relationship with the NFL legend when she appears on WNBA star Angel Reese’s podcast this week.
After her relationship with Travis came to an end, Kayla recently revealed she has unfollowed old friends Patrick and Brittany Mahomes to move forward with her own life, given they have welcomed Taylor to their own friendship group.
She told PEOPLE: ‘The reality is I know these people in real life. And so, in real life, I’ve communicated to these people why I’ve had to publicly make the decisions that I made.
‘That’s a lot of history and friendship there, that doesn’t change overnight.
‘But publicly, because things are happening so quickly and so publicly, I have to protect myself. That’s really all that is. The love is still there.’
