Travis Kelce Sends A Message To L’Jarius Sneed Amid Trade Rumors

The Kansas City Chiefs had a tough decision to make ahead of the offseason.

They knew they couldn’t afford to go through a contract stand-off with star DT Chris Jones again, so they wouldn’t even risk using the franchise tag on him.

That’s why they had to use it on star CB L’Jarius Sneed instead.

There was a point in which it seemed like a trade was imminent, but Sneed made it loud and clear that he wanted to stay there.

Considering that, his fellow teammate Travis Kelce took some time on his podcast to urge him to stay in Kansas City.

“We still got L’Jarius Sneed, baby. Still early in the offseason baby, just stay right there,” Kelce said.

Sneed’s teammates know how valuable he is for Steve Spagnuolo’s defense, and losing him could be a huge blow to their hopes of a three-peat.

He’s stated that he doesn’t want to play under the franchise tag and he has been granted permission to seek a trade

Still, as of now, it doesn’t seem likely that he’s going to be moved.

The Tennessee Titans, Detroit Lions, Indianapolis Colts, and Atlanta Falcons have all reportedly reached out to the Chiefs to try and trade for him, but to no avail.

The Chiefs reportedly haven’t had any talks with him or his camp regarding a contract extension.

For now, it seems like the only way Sneed will stay in Arrowhead Stadium will be by playing under the franchise tag.
