Travis Kelce has opened up on his experiences of worldwide fame and how his family has adapted in the months since his romance with Taylor Swift blossomed.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end already had catapulted to national renown after two Super Bowl wins previous to embarking on a relationship with the pop superstar. Since the pair went public in September of last year, they have become synonymous with each other – with music and sports fans united in intrigue.

With Swift having attended numerous Chiefs games in the last year including the Super Bowl in February, Kelce also spent his off-season travelling the world to watch his beau on stage as part of the “Eras Tour”. Now, the KC legend has described how his life has changed during a whirlwind past 11 months.
Speaking about his experiences, he confirmed that he has embraced becoming a figure of global celebrity as a result of his talents on the field and his relationship with Swift off it. While appearing on ‘CBS Mornings’ on the set of a commercial for Pepsi, he said: “It’s the life I chose, I guess. I have fun with it.
“It comes with the territory of wanting to do fun activities like this and signing up for cool sponsorships like this and endorsements. Everyone’s loving it,” he said before touching on his family. “Mama Kelce is having so much fun. I think my dad is slowly getting more comfortable with it, and [my brother] Jason has always been a pro at it.”
As for being embraced by his girlfriend’s army of fans, he said: “I hope it’s because they see I’m just a genuinely good person and I love what I do and I love doing it with the people that I’m doing it with. I’d rather give everybody happiness and something to cheer about than otherwise.”

During an appearance on ‘The Rich Eisen Show’, Kelce also spoke about how his love has become a dedicated football fan – even coming up with plays for her boyfriend. He acknowledged: “She’s a little biased and just creates plays for me. We’ll see if they can make it to Coach Reid’s office.
“She had just been so open to learning the game, she didn’t know much about the rules or anything … I think she was just curious about the profession. I know none of the plays have gotten to Coach Reid yet, but if they ever do I’ll make sure everyone knows it was her creation.”
Despite the glaring spotlight which has become a customary part of his life in recent times, Kelce insists that he remains as focused as ever on his commitments in Kansas City. Reinforcing his dedication to the Chiefs, he asserted: “I just love coming in here [and] I just love football and how it takes me away from life,”
“It gives me something I can feel genuinely happy about. I enjoy coming into the building, working on my craft, getting to understand a new game plan and perfecting that for the people around me. [It] gives me a purpose to kind of go about my day and to live my life and I have so much excitement doing it.”
