Tom Cruise’s rumoured new love interest Victoria Canal has dismissed ‘completely bonkers’ reports that she is dating the Mission Impossible actor.

The Spanish pianist, 25, first met the Hollywood star, 62, in Glastonbury after she performed with Coldplay before the pair went on to become, in Victoria’s words, ‘random friends’.

Following claims that romance blossomed with Tom inviting her to the set of Mission Impossible 8 and even flew her to the Twisters premiere in a helicopter, the stunner has now been forced to set the record straight.

Taking to Instagram Victoria, who was born without her right forearm due to amniotic band syndrome, posted a lengthy statement alongside a snap of herself giggling.

It read: ‘Guys, this is literally bonkers, but apparently the tabloids think I am dating Tom Cruise. I’m deceased. Let’s just stop this in its tracks – I’m sorry to bum u out but I am not dating the man, albeit a lovely person & artist’.

Later taking to her Instagram Stories she said: ‘In all seriousness guys, Tom has been nothing but a lovely and encouraging person and mentor, much like Chris Martin, my dad, my music teacher and other wise people that have learned a lot from living’.

And again, I am friends with all kinds of people who are very different to me, you learn a lot if you’re open to life brining you those teachers’.

It was previously revealed that Tom’s colleagues were stunned when Victoria visited the set of Mission: Impossible 8 in Oxfordshire.

She spent most of the day there, setting tongues wagging that the pair may have struck up a romance.

‘It is all very bizarre,’ said a crew member. ‘Tom invited Victoria to watch him film for the whole day and that is just not something he does for his random friends.

‘When she turned up, there was much gossip: is she Tom’s new romantic partner? It might have seemed unlikely that they would become anything more than friends but they are pretty much inseparable.

‘They have been seeing a lot of one another and Victoria is beautiful. It’s all been happening in plain sight.’

Tom and Victoria hit it off instantly when they met after she joined Coldplay on Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage along with Michael J Fox.

Sources said they got along ‘like a house on fire’ and they have met on at least five occasions and she has even visited his lavish apartment in Knightsbridge.

Tom flew her to the capital in his helicopter and video footage has emerged of them giggling inside the venue and later walking through the city together.

Afterwards, Victoria wrote on Instagram: ‘We met backstage at [Glastonbury] and talked about the upcoming premiere we were both going to and he said, ‘roll with me!’

A week later they were were seen hand- in-hand as they giggled together at Battersea Power Station helipad in London.

Days later, Victoria was his guest in the VIP area for Bruce Springsteen’s concert at Wembley Stadium.

After the gig, the pair met Springsteen backstage and posted a photograph taken with him on Instagram. Ms Canal, who plays piano and has also sung with the likes of Hozier and Leslie Odom Jr, has acknowledged that she and Cruise are close, saying he is the ‘most random friend I have ever made.’
