Tom Brady’s ex-teammate reveals which QB was more talented than Patriots icon: “He was tough as hell”

While the greatest of all-time debates are opinionated, most can agree that Tom Brady was the greatest quarterback to ever play in the NFL. He has the most Super Bowl victories of any quarterback, most comeback wins, most passing yards and touchdowns, as well as many other quarterback records.

While Brady is often viewed as the greatest of all time, he may not be the greatest-skilled quarterback. A former teammate of his, wide receiver Phillip Dorsett who was on the Patriots from 2017-2019, recently joined the Money Down Podcast hosted by James White, Sojourn Shelton, and Warren Herring, and said Brady wasn’t the most-skilled quarterback he’s played with.

On the show, Dorsett said that former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck was the most talented quarterback he’s ever played with.

Dorsett said:

“People ask me because they know I played with Tom. They was like, ‘Dang, who was the best quarterback you played with?’ I be like, ‘Be honest with you, when it comes to talent, it was Andrew Luck, for sure.’ Talent-wise, Andrew was different. He was just a natural born leader. He was still young, and the way he carried himself you would think this man was a 10-year vet.”

“He was tough as hell, athletic. …Bro, when you watch him play basketball, you be like, ‘Damn, like, this man is really an all-around athlete. He had a strong arm, was smart, was accurate. It’s just injuries, bro. It’s football.”

Debates are debates, but most would probably say agree that Brady is the greatest of all time. At the same time, that doesn’t necessarily mean he is the greatest skilled quarterback or one of them.

QB Andrew Luck shocked the NFL world in 2019 when we retired

Phillip Dorsett played with Andrew Luck from 2015 to 2016 before playing with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots for three seasons.

Luck was the first overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft as he was selected by the Indianapolis Colts. He played for six seasons, being a member of the team for seven, and was one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

He set the NFL record for most passing yards (4,374) in a rookie season while going 11-5. He would finish the next two seasons with an 11-5 record in each season.

In the 2016 off-season, Luck had shoulder surgery and missed the entire 2017 season due to a shoulder injury. After playing the 2018 season, Luck shocked the NFL world and retired in 2019.

At age 29, Luck is one of the few athletes throughout history to retire during his prime.
