Part three of The Voice’s Battle Rounds saw Reba McEntire in floods of tears as Alison Albrecht and Angelina Nazarian prepared to take to the stage.

Reba McEntire struggled to fight back tears as Alison Albrecht and Angelina Nazarian rehearsed Lauren Daigle’s You Say.

The award-winning country singer is the newest coach on the The Voice panel and after seven weeks she filled her team but as rehearsals took place the star became overwhelmed with emotion.

Ahead of the Battle duet, Reba chose the duo to sing a contemporary Christian ballad about finding acceptance in faith when you can’t find self-acceptance.

Speaking to the performers, she explained: “Now, this is a song, in my mind, a conversation between me and the Lord.

“And [when] I am in a very depressed state, I think I’m worthless. So when you are singing this song, it’s very humbling. It’s baring your soul,” Reba added while getting choked up

“So it’s not much movement when you’re performing, you’re broken,”

As Alison and Angelina delivered their duet, Reba could be seen wiping away tears.

Reba concluded: “If you can touch someone’s heart the way you just touched mine, you’ve done something terrific.”

Reflecting on their rehearsal, the 64-year-old praised the singer to producers: “Angelina got it right away. I mean, she got into that space and it transformed Alison, and she lit up.

“And by the time we finished their segment, I was bawling. I mean, I threw both hands in the air, praising the Lord.”

Although Alison and Angelina stirred up emotion in Reba, she was forced to choose the most impressive singer during the Battle.
