The Voice fans fume ‘lost me as a viewer’ as new judges announced in shake-up

This week, the three new coaches were revealed for the upcoming series of The Voice following Olly Murs and Anne Marie’s departure.

Fans of ITV’s The Voice are less than impressed with the three new celebrities joining the show. As Olly Murs and Anne Marie will no longer be part of the singing competition, LeAnn Rimes has joined the coach line-up along with McFly’s Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones.

Although fans reeled over the announcement as @lenni_loring said: “Sadly I don’t think I’ll be watching anymore if you stick with the last format. I gave up before the end as it was awful.” @ninjaforAM added: “Will most definitely NOT be watching.”

@liselou145 commented: “Always team @ollymurs will be a huge miss to the show.” With @MegannnRosiee agreeing: “Disappointed that you got rid of Olly.”

With @Martintaylor66 tweeting: “Sorry but you have lost me as a viewer now that Olly and Anne Marie.” However, some viewers were thrilled with the announcement and welcomed the change.

Thrilled with the new coaches, @_justjennie said: “Will start watching again… missed a couple of series, but this looks amazing.”

Danny is no stranger to The Voice family as he’s been a coach on the children’s version of the show since 2017.

However, Danny will now be making The Voice UK history with his bandmate Tom as they’ll coach together in a new double chair.

Speaking about joining the series, they said: “To be making The Voice UK history as the first-ever double chair combo is going to be epic and we’re both ready for the challenge.

“Of course, we couldn’t ask to be in greater company than our fellow Voice family members Emma, Will, Sir Tom, and LeAnn. Roll on the talent!”

Tom, Danny and LeAnn will be joining the returning coaches Tom Jones and Will.i.am, who won the series last year with his double-act Jen and Liv.

Fans of the ITV singing show will also welcome back host Emma Willis, who will be presiding over the action as the hopefuls take to the stage in the hope of turning one of the iconic red chairs.

Following in Jen and Liv’s footsteps, this year’s winner will take home a whopping £50,000 and an incredible holiday to Universal Studios in Florida.

Touching on joining the upcoming series, Grammy winner LeAnn revealed she’s looking forward to sharing her experience and guidance with the contestants.
