The photos on Navarro’s X account were accompanied by a caption saying, “Somebody had to fix his tie.”
“So Chacha and I pitched-in.”
Navarro can be seen holding her pet poodle, Chacha, in one of the two images.
It wasn’t long, however, before Navarro began receiving criticism for the post.
Social media users were not happy, with some arguing that the post was out of line.
Interestingly, Navarro limited the replies to her post on X, meaning other users could not comment on the post.
One Instagram account, the Jasmine Brand, created a compilation of users’ posts about the controversial images.
“GET YOUR HAND OFF UNCLE BARRY!!!” one user wrote
“You can back up a bit,” another post read.
“Everyone wants their Monica Lewinsky moment so bad,” a further comment said.

“Lolll not her turning off comments because she knows how ridiculous this is,” another person observed.
It seems that Americans across social media were not impressed by Navarro’s touchy interactions with the former president.
‘EMOTIONAL SUPPORT POODLE’
Navarra’s controversial images on X also featured her dog.
And the host spoke to Variety about the importance of her pet.
“She came in and immediately took on the role of emotional support poodle for the entire convention,” she said.
Even Obama reportedly stroked the poodle.
“ChaCha is a very politically astute dog,” Navarro said.
WHO IS ANA NAVARRO?
Navarro is a CNN and ABC News commentator, as well as a GOP strategist, and a co-host of The View, a daytime talk show.
She hosted night two of the DNC on Tuesday this week.
Navarro shared this news with her followers on social media.
“I can’t tell you how much it means to me,” she said in a video on X.
“Look, I’m a little refugee girl who fled communism, who fled Nicaragua at the age of eight.
“Found freedoms, found opportunity, found a home in America.
Who is Ana Navarro-Cárdenas?
Navarro was born in Nicaragua but fled with her family to the United States in 1980 at the age of eight due to the political upheaval in her home country.
Her father stayed behind to fight with the Contras which saw Navarro and her family support Republican President Ronald Reagan who backed the rebel group.
She has worked alongside several high-profile Republicans including Florida Governor Jeb Bush in 1998.
Navarro has since become a political commentator for ABC News and CNN.
She is also a co-host on ABC’s The View alongside Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Sara Hines.
Navarro married Al Cárdena, the former chair of the Florida Republican Party in 2019.
“For me to have a chance to stand on that stage and help my girl Kamala make history and become the Democratic nominee is such a mind-blowing moment,” Navarro said.
Navarro was actually offered the role of host when President Joe Biden was still in the race, Variety reported.
Some Americans, however, were quick to question the news.
“Does Ana still call herself Republican? What Republican hosts DNC event?!?” a user asked.
Navarro has previously told her followers that she “began as a ‘Reagan Republican.'”
The host, however, later turned her back on the Republican party when it was under Trump’s leadership.
“I never thought I’d be speaking at a Democratic convention. But after seeing firsthand who Donald Trump is and the threat he poses to our country, I feel very strongly about speaking out,” she previously said.
DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION
President Joe Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke on the opening night of the DNC.
Biden struggled to hide his emotions during his speech and was seen wiping away tears as the crowd shouted, “Thank you Joe.”
“For 50 years, like many of you, I’ve given my heart and soul to our nation and I’ve been blessed, a million times in return, with the support of the American people,” Biden said.
“America, I love you.”
Clinton received a standing ovation during her speech on Monday as she called Kamala Harris and Tim Walz’s campaign “the future.”
Kamala Harris secured the Democratic nomination on Tuesday night.

Walz, or “Coach” Walz as referred to by presidential candidate Kamala Harris, packed his 16-minute speech with football references, admitting to Democrats that they’re behind in the race.
“It’s the fourth quarter. We’re down a field goal,” Walz said.
“But we’re on offense, and we’ve got the ball. We’re driving down the field. And boy, do we have the right team.
“We’re going to leave it on the field. That’s how we’ll keep moving forward.”
Meanwhile, on the Republican side, Donald Trump held his first outdoor rally since he survived an attempted assassination while on the campaign trail in Pennsylvania on July 13.
