Ana revealed on Friday, however, that she has other duties away from the popular ABC program.
The political commentator admitted she’s going to Panama over the Thanksgiving break to speak to staff at the US embassy there.
Ana made the confession when she appeared on the podcast, The View: Behind The Table.
When asked about her Thanksgiving plans, she said: “I’m going to Panama.
“We are friends with the US ambassador of Panama, Mari Carmen Aponte.
“Mari Carmen invited me to come down to Panama. She’s been wanting me to go and do a few things at the embassy, you know, speak to the staff.”
She added: “It’s hard for me to do that unless I have a holiday.”
Ana and Alyssa Farah Griffin joined The View as permanent hosts in September 2022.
The newbies joined the other stars on the roundtable: Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines.
In October, she revealed her future on the show in an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun after the season 27 premiere.
“Well, I’m going to be there for at least a couple more years,” Ana said at the Fashion Group International Night of Stars Gala in New York City.
“We’re very happy. We are getting great ratings. It’s number one, and growing in viewership, so it’s been a great season so far.”
The View’s premiere episode in September 2022 garnered 2.1 million viewers.
Last season, it became the number one daytime talk show among both households and total viewers.
The View averaged 2.37 million total viewers for the 2022-2023 season.
When asked whom she thinks will retire from the show first, Whoopi, 67, or Joy, 81, Ana beat around the bush.
“Oh hell…” she said, hesitating.
The host added, jokingly: “I think both of them are going to outlive me!”
