On Friday’s episode, Joy Behar kicked off a Hot Topics segment on exes coming out of the woodwork.
“A reader wrote to the New York Times advice column with a question,” Joy began.
“It seems that her boyfriend’s ex-wife has moved across the street from her boyfriends house.”
Joy continued, “And has been initiating – doobie doobie doo – with him,” she sung while dishing out a hilarious dance move.
‘I WOULD CAUSE MISERY’
“So how do you feel about that Sunny?” Joy then prompted to her co-host on the admittedly intense situation.
Sunny, who became a co-host in 2019, immediately leaned into the darker possibilities.
“Well, she’s clearly a stalker, the ex wife,” Sunny began with a stare.
“And I would make her life so miserable.”
“That she would not want to live across the street from me… any longer,” she continued with a drawn-out affect.
Her tone then got even more sinister as she stared at the others, “Well I can’t give up my secrets and my methodology but she’s gonna move.”
“Yeah, she’s gonna move,” she repeated, also saying “What’s her intent?”
FANS GO OFF
“‘What’s her intent’ Aunty is ready to hurt that chick right there,” wrote one user on Twitter.
“Sunny, you can’t threaten to ‘make somebody move’ and not see that as an aggressively violent threat physical or otherwise,” wrote another.
A third chimed in: “Sunny gets serious quick on these kinds of topics.”
Another tore after the topic took a turn: “Sunny says some of the stupidest and most damaging things.”
Friday’s show saw Whoopi Goldberg out from her bandleader role, and fans largely enjoyed how Joy handled things.
The broadcast was made up of Joy, hosts Sara Haines and Sunny, regular guest co-host Ana Navarro, and returning guest co-host Lindsey Granger.
After the NYT column was discussed, the topic transitioned to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West who have neighboring LA homes.
Sunny listed things that she said would make one of them “move out.”
“Lights, music, a dog could poop in their yard,” she went on, again using the word “stalker.”
Sunny is married to orthopedic surgeon Emmanuel Hostin.
The couple have two children, a son Gabriel, 18, and a daughter Paloma, 14.
The family resides in Purchase, New York.
BAHAMAS BLUNDERS
Whoopi specifically has had a rough last couple of weeks lately as the show’s moderator which has included forgetting names and projects when announcing them.
The Oscar winner has also done everything from cut-off Joy mid-conversation, trip over her words, shade singer Lizzo, and even messed up her introduction of US Senator Raphael Warnock.
But the whole cast was slammed for filming four episodes (and airing one re-run) from the Bahamas where they stayed at an expensive resort.
Many of Whoopi’s recent blunders happened during the tropical July trip called “unrelatable” to begin with.

The show then was off for a week before she, Joy and Sara all took their own mysterious previously unannounced breaks.
Both Joy and Sara returned last week in which Friday’s intense segment aired.
