Gwen Stefani was stunned by the skills and performance by 17-year-old singer named Shye on Tuesday’s episode of The Voice on NBC.
Shye got a four chair turn when she belted out Five for Fighting’s hit Superman. Gwen pushed her button only after hearing a few notes.
The singer revealed she skipped her own high school graduation to perform, adding, ‘I think I made the right decision by coming here.’
‘I need to seriously pray for a minute because I have not been this excited this season for an artist,’ Gwen said after the powerful performance.
‘The first few notes, it was so honest and genuine because God gave you that gift. And that’s what happens when you have a gift like that. You’re the perfect girl for my team.’
Michael Bublé, 49, also lobbied hard for her to join his team after the four chair turn.
