Fox News’ Jessica Tarlov Tells ‘Haters & Losers’ to Enjoy the Break as She Takes Leave After Birth of Second Daughter
Fox News’ Democratic strategist and co-host of The Five, Jessica Tarlov, has announced the birth of her second daughter, delighting fans and colleagues alike with the joyful news.
The mother of two shared a heartwarming family photo on Instagram on April 15, introducing her newborn daughter, Teddy Tarlov McKenna, to the world.
Tarlov and her husband, Brian McKenna, beamed with happiness in the picture, posing alongside their older daughter, Cleo.
The new mother humorously acknowledged Cleo’s surprised expression in the photo, referencing the classic Home Alone face.
“Cleo hasn’t even seen Home Alone… having a baby sister must just have her in the ‘oh no!’ mood!” Tarlov quipped in her caption.
In the post, Tarlov also took a playful jab at her critics, writing, “We’re thrilled to add Teddy to the crew.
[I] will be on maternity leave for [the] next few months, so to the haters and the losers, enjoy the break! I know I will with my girls.”

Tarlov’s The Five co-host Dana Perino broke the news of Teddy’s birth on air, joyfully announcing the details to viewers.
“Breaking news from The Five: Jessica Tarlov and her wonderful husband Brian had a new baby! It is a baby girl—Teddy Tarlov McKenna—born on April 11th, weighing 8 pounds, 4 ounces, and measuring 21 inches long.”
As Perino spoke, images of the adorable new addition and her proud family appeared on-screen.
She continued, “She met her big sister Cleo, and they are having a wonderful time.
These are such beautiful pictures… I think it’s so great. Congratulations to you.
Enjoy your time with your baby. We can’t wait to meet her and then to have you back.”
A Close-Knit Team
Tarlov has often spoken about the camaraderie she shares with her co-hosts, despite their political differences. She recently joked that Jesse Watters had even offered to deliver her baby.
“First and foremost, I can sit with the people that I work with because they’re really good people. And we enjoy each other,” she said. “And we’re there to do a job but also have friendships. I mean, Jesse has offered to deliver the baby, and I’m trying to avoid that.”
A Special Connection with Viewers
Tarlov has also acknowledged the deep bond she shares with the show’s audience.
Reflecting on the baby shower her co-hosts threw for her, she said, “I would never know Dolores from Las Vegas, who watches The Five every day and was moved to spend her time knitting this blanket for my to-be child, without speaking to people who don’t see the world the way that I do.
And to be part of their daily life like that is a huge honor.”

Tarlov first announced her pregnancy live on The Five in January. When her co-hosts noticed her changing travel plans, she humorously declared, “My condition, yes, my very pregnant chonky condition. I’m pregnant!”
The couple welcomed their first daughter, Cleo, in December 2021. Now, with the addition of baby Teddy, Tarlov’s husband, Brian, has jokingly expressed his concern about being outnumbered.
“Brian is a little bit concerned about the level of estrogen that is about to be in the household,” Tarlov shared.
