The Chase is a television quiz show that first aired in 2013 and was revived in 2021.
The View’s Sara Haines serves as host of the ABC program.
Contestants try to win money by challenging a trivia expert known as the chaser.
First, they answer as many questions as they can by themselves to fill their prize pot.
Then, they compete against the chaser and try to stay ahead of them.
Otherwise, they win nothing and go home empty-handed.
Those who answer correctly move to the Final Chase and answer questions as a team, eventually splitting the prize fund.
Jeopardy! contestants James Holzhauer, Brad Rutter, and Ken Jennings served as The Chasers on the first season of the revival.
James, 39, competed on the Game Show Network version before, leading him to land a spot on Jeopardy!.
He returned for Season 3, along with fellow Jeopardy! contestants Buzzy Cohen and Victoria Groce.
Jeopardy! Masters ripped for blanking on ‘softball clue’ about iconic actor as fans react, ‘embarrassing!’
The Chase last aired in July 2023, and no news on a fourth season has been announced.
‘ANY WORD?’
The Chase shared a video on Instagram to remind fans to watch Jeopardy! Masters because James and Victoria would be competing on it.
“Hey Chasers! TONIGHT, James Holzhauer and Victoria Groce will be battling for the title of #JeopardyMasters champion! The Primetime Event begins at 8/7c on ABC and Stream on Hulu!,” the post was captioned.
This lead fans to question when the trivia game show will return.

“How about The Chase? Any word?” one fan asked.
“Okay so you’re telling us about Jeopardy. What about The Chase?” asked another.
“When will The Chase come back on?” wondered many others.
“Please tell us the chase is coming back! I wish it aired as often as Jeopardy,” added an Instagram user.
Some Reddit users noticed that the summer schedule came out and The Chase is not on it.
Others noticed that Ken, 49, brought it up to Victoria, 39, on a recent episode of Masters.
She called herself the queen on The Chase, so that gave fans some hope that the show will return and she will be back on it.
ABC YA!
Ken turned heads when he implied that the quiz show was canceled.
The host chatted with each Masters on the premiere.
“And our viewers probably remember you from The Chase, where you were known as The Queen,” Ken said.
“Are,” Victoria insisted and threw her arms with a nervous laugh.
“Are, sorry,” Ken replied.
Victoria told him, “That’s alright,” with a cheeky head tilt.
“Thank you for taking time out of your busy regal schedule to be with us on Masters,” the host said.
Victoria laughed off his comments, but fans thought this meant The Chase was canceled.
“Uh oh. Hope that Ken didn’t just spoil that Chase was cancelled,” a Reddit user wrote.
“The fact Victoria corrected him gives me a small ray of hope that it might come back. The fact that two Chasers are in this, and a former one as the host, might make ABC rethink things,” another said.
Some fans think that Ken misspoke and Victoria was acting offended.
