Taylor Swift’s cousin claims he’s the reason she’s even dating Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift fans thought they knew the way she met her current boyfriend Travis Kelce – after all, he’s shared the story on her New Heights podcast.
But the singer’s cousin recently went on record to take credit for Taylor and Travis’ romance.
Taylor’s Cousin Said He Helped Build The Connection Between Taylor And Travis
Danny Frye III, a professional dirt tracker racer and cousin to Taylor, recently gave an interview to FloRacingTV where he discussed her famous relationship, saying that he “built a love connection” between Travis and Taylor.
Danny may not be exaggerating, considering he’s been pictured with Taylor at some of Travis’ Chiefs game (alongside many of her famous friends), so he seems to be pretty close to his cousin.
“Funny thing is, a lot of people have been trying to figure out who I am lately. It’s been an interesting month or so,” Danny added, referring to his newfound fame thank to viral photos taken of Swift and her entourage at the games.
Danny may have helped get things moving between Travis and Taylor, or so he claims, but the NFL star made it clear he was interested in Taylor before he was ever on her radar.
Taylor’s Family Seems To Approve Of Travis Despite His Ex’s Warning
Travis previously admitted to trying to slip his number to Taylor via a friendship bracelet at one of her Eras concerts but had no success. However, the admission on his New Heights podcast not only went viral amongst the public but appears to have caught the attention of Swift. They were picture hanging out shortly after, though Taylor has confirmed their romance began last summer.
Taylor and Travis’ relationship may be new, but it appears to be moving quickly. There have been engagement rumors following them for months. While some reports said Travis would propose over the holidays, there’s now speculation he’ll pop the question for their 1-year anniversary. There have even been reports that Travis and Taylor could announce a pregnancy in the next year.
Taylor’s family seems approving of Travis, and not only because of Danny’s comments. The Swifts apparently spent the holidays with the Kelce family in Kansas, with Travis even admitting that Taylor’s brother got him a touching Christmas gift.
Though things seem to be going smooth, Taylor has been warned about Travis’ intentions, including during an interview his ex-girlfriend Maya Benberry gave to Daily Mail. Not only did she claim Travis has a history of infidelity, but she questioned whether he was dating Taylor for the right reasons. Travis hasn’t publicly responded to his ex’s allegations.
“The man that I knew him to be when we dated,” Maya said, adding she thinks he’ll reoffend. “Only time will tell but like the saying always goes, once a cheater, always a cheater.”
