Taylor Swift seems to have hit out at Kanye West as she released a new version of her hit song, thanK you aIMee.

The track was initially believed to be a swipe at Kim Kardashian, as it spelled out her name in capital letters, but Taylor has now released a retitled version of the song. On the new digital version of The Tortured Poets Department album, Taylor has changed the title to thank You aimEe.

The capital letters now spell out Ye, which is Kanye’s legal name. Taylor’s decision to change her song comes after Kanye name-dropped her on his latest album, Vultures 2. “I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce,” he rapped in his song titled Lifestyle (Demo).

Kim’s fans have reacted to Taylor’s title change on Reddit, with one person writing: “FINALLY ! she’s been attacking the wrong person the whole time.” Another said: “Whether it’s Kim, Kanye or the pope, it doesn’t matter because she needs to move on.

“Kim and Kanye will never apologize. They don’t give a single F, they moved on. She has to let it go.” A third person posted: “Not that I care about any of the three of them but girl… move on. It’s giving, touch grass. It’s giving… get a hobby. It’s giving… no one asked for this.”

Taylor has previously spoken about her feud with Kim and Kanye and how it “took her down psychologically”. The drama all started when Kim defended her then-husband over explicit lyrics he wrote about Taylor.

In his infamous 2016 song Famous, Kanye shockingly declared: “I feel like me and Taylor Swift might still have sex. Why? I made that b***h famous.” Taylor was furious with the song, but Kanye insisted she had given her approval during a phone call.

Adding fuel to the fire, Kim backed Kanye’s story by posting a video of the call. Taylor could be heard saying: “I know, it’s like a compliment, kind of. Yeah, I mean, what’s dope about the line is it’s very tongue in cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it, that’s really nice.”

Taylor insisted the video clip was without context and she was vindicated in 2020 when the full, unedited call was leaked. Speaking about the feud to TIME magazine, Taylor said: “That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year.”
