During her second show at Wembley Stadium on Saturday (June 22), as she played the intro to ‘thanK you aIMee’, which many fans believe is a reference to her feud with the reality star, Swift told the London crowd (via The Independent) : “Every time someone talks shit, it makes me work even harder. It makes me that much tougher. It also makes me incredibly thankful for those people.”
When the track from her recent album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ was released in April, fans were quick to notice Swift seemingly makes several references to Kardashian on it.
The letters capitalised in the title spell out ‘Kim’, immediately connecting the song to the Kardashian. ‘thanK you aIMee’ sees Swift discuss a seemingly fictional story of a feud between the singer and someone named Aimee from her hometown who was a bully and ended up being celebrated.

Lyrics such as: “All that time you were throwin’ punches, I was buildin’ somethin’” led fans to believe that this was a reference to “Kardashian’s attempt to ruin Taylor’s career during the phone scandal backfired on her and boosted Taylor to an even higher level of fame,” (via Genius).
The theory for that lyric comes from the feud between Kardashian and Swift in 2016 after the release of the reality TV star’s ex Husband – Kanye West‘s track ‘Famous’. In the song, West claimed that he made Swift famous following the infamous 2009 MTV VMAs incident.
Kardashian had claimed that Swift had approved the lyrics on the song and even released audio of a phone call where she gave it the OK.
Meanwhile, Foo Fighters‘ Dave Grohl called out Swift during one of their recent shows.
While performing at London Stadium on Saturday, Grohl pointed out that Swift was having her own concert down the road at Wembley. After a chorus of boos from fans, Grohl told the audience: “I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift. So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour.’”
Grohl jokingly added: “We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few fucking errors as well. Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right fucking place.”
Swift has since seemingly responded to Grohl’s comments, subtly saying during her show last night (June 23): “Every one of my band members, every single one of our crew, my band who’s gonna be playing live for you for 3.5 hours tonight, they deserve this so much. And so does every one of my fellow performers. And you just gave that to us so generously, we will never forget it.”
Last night, Paul McCartney was also spotted dancing along with her fans at Wembley while Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Andrew Scott were among the latest bunch of famous faces.
