Jimmy Fallon had two surprises for Taylor Swift on The Tonight Show Thursday night: First, he revealed to the world that Swift recently had Lasik eye surgery, and secondly, he showed footage of a loopy Swift crying over a banana while recovering from her treatment.

The hilarious clip of Swift, filmed by her mother Andrea Swift, shows the “You Need to Calm Down” singer at home post-surgery while still under the influence of medication.

In the clip, an impaired Taylor Swift goes to break off a banana from a bunch but realizes “that wasn’t the one I wanted.” As she begins to become emotional, Andrea Swift, filming the superstar, responds, “Stop, you can’t cry … that’s not supposed to be what you’re doing.”

Taylor Swift says, “I tried to get this one … I wanted this one, but what do we do with this now?” referring to the banana she had already broken off. Andrea Swift replies, “I’ll eat it, I’ll eat it, it’s mine.” But a loopy Taylor Swift isn’t satisfied with that answer, telling her mom: “But it doesn’t have a head.”

Andrea Swift then films the “Lover” singer saying, “I’m crying … sometimes it doesn’t go our way” as she leaves the kitchen.

Further footage shows Taylor Swift lying on her bed eating her banana. “Don’t fall asleep eating a banana, OK?” her mom says. The singer—mouth half-full—responds: “I’m not asleep. My mind is alive.”

Back on The Tonight Show, a mortified Taylor Swift reacted to the footage, telling Fallon: “Oh, my God… that’s on television?”

Fallon responded: “Don’t be mad. I made some calls. Me and your mom stayed in touch.”

Taylor Swift went on to say, “I can’t even be mad. I’m just impressed that you infiltrated my family. Nobody has my mom’s number. How did you…?” Fallon replied, “I asked for your mom’s number. We’ve been friends for years.”

On Twitter, fans immediately fell in love with #LasikLover Taylor, as coined by Fallon, with some fans preferring her to Drunk Taylor.

Drunk Taylor became a meme in August when footage of a drunk Taylor Swift dancing at a party went viral.

Swift addressed the meme on The Tonight Show, saying: “I was at a party a couple of months ago and I had, like, two-and-a-half mojitos, and the next day #DrunkTaylor was number one trending on Twitter.”

“I go from zero to legitimately thinking I’m a wizard within, like, two drinks,” Swift said.
