‘Survivor’ Fans Will Be Shocked Seeing This Former Contestant Appear on ‘Jeopardy!’
Season 45 alum Drew Basile will put his knowledge to the test on the quiz show!
Get ready, Survivor fans, because a recognizable competitor is trading time in the jungle for a chance to stand on an iconic game show stage.
Drew Basile appeared as one of the contestants on Survivor season 45 back in September 2023, where he placed sixth in the competition. He became famous for being a “know-it-all,” finding ways to showcase his love of being a self-proclaimed “nerd” amid his recent graduation from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in English and Philosophy.
Well, per TV Insider, Drew now has the chance to display his impressive knowledge skills by appearing on an upcoming episode of Jeopardy! which will air on Wednesday, June 19.
What’s more, Drew confirmed his latest foray into reality television by proudly posting photos alongside Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings on Instagram. “I’M ON JEOPARDY!!! Airing June 19,” he wrote on June 4. “The haters have called me a know-it-all. It’s time to prove them right.”
When fans of Survivor discovered Drew would be honing his trivia knowledge on a new platform, they immediately got excited about what was coming from him on the hit quiz show.
“What can’t he do!!!! Congrats Drew can’t wait to watch 🙌,” one person exclaimed. “So stoked!!! We will definitely be tuning in! 🤙🏼,” another declared. “Added to my calendar! 😁,” a different person added.
While we will make sure to watch Drew’s episode to see how he fares, it turns out he isn’t the only person from the Survivor universe to make their way onto Jeopardy!.
Back in May 2023, fans of the CBS series learned that contestant Juveria Zaheer was in fact the sister of Omar Zaheer, who appeared on Survivor season 42 and later won sixth place in the competition. Juveria became a known name in her own right, reappearing on Jeopardy! in January 2024. During the Second Chance finals (which took place over two days), she won her episode with $70,800 in earnings and became the fourth woman in show history to break $50,000 in a single game with $51,200 in her first day win.
Well, looks like we’re in for quite a competition, and good luck Drew!
