The View’s Sunny Hostin has revealed that she was left ‘a little dismayed’ that the judge decided to keep Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in prison pending sentencing as she argued that he isn’t a flight risk.

Diddy, 55, was sensationally found not guilty of the most serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking on July 2.

He was convicted of the lesser charge of transportation to engage in prostitution related to Cassie Ventura and another woman.

The conviction on the less serious charges carries a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison, however some legal experts predict he will be sentenced to far less.

Speaking on Monday’s episode of The View, mom-of-two Sunny, 56, shared her reaction to the verdict and shed light and said that she thought it was the ‘wrong thing’ to deny him bail.

‘I will say having been a federal prosecutor, I am a little dismayed by the fact that the judge kept Sean Combs in prison,’ she said.

The View’s Whoopi Goldberg then asked: ‘Why?’

Sunny replied: ‘He said because there was proof of domestic violence that he was, you know, that society couldn’t be protected from him.

‘I just think that’s the wrong thing. It’s not a flight risk because all you have to do is figure out how to keep that person here in the United States.

‘You take away the passport, [have a] very, very hefty bond, you can also take away his plane, get an ankle monitor.’

Sunny’s opinion was obliterated on social media, with one writing: ‘You lost me Sunny. Diddy needs to stay his a**in jail.’

‘Sunny is disappointed that the judge decided to keep Diddy in jail. Smh,’ another added.

Another, however, praised the host for her take, and said: ‘Sunny Hostin of the #TheView was spot on as regards the outcome of Diddy’s trial.’

Elsewhere in the discussion, Sunny said that she believes Diddy ‘absolutely will get 20 years’ in jail.

She continued: ‘The government is going to ask for four to five years, the defense is asking for two years.

‘He’s been in prison already for 10 months. He’s been a porter, cleaning bathrooms.’

‘God knows he could get pardoned by you know,’ Whoopi then pointed out, referring to president Donald Trump.

Ana Navarro added: ‘He could get pardoned by you know who but he also could probably face many, many civil lawsuits.’

Last week, Diddy put his head in his hands and dropped to his knees when ‘not guilty’ was announced for the racketeering conspiracy charge – and he did a subtle fist pump when ‘not guilty’ was announced for the second of the two sex trafficking charges.

He turned to his family and mouthed ‘I’m going home’ when the verdict was read.

Diddy’s supporters erupted in cheers and his family left Manhattan court smiling after the rapper was handed the best possible verdict, besides a full acquittal.

Prosecutor Maurene Comey said the government will seek a 20-year maximum for Combs.

His defense requested he be freed on a $1 million bond, but he was denied bond and must remain in jail until his sentencing hearing on October 3.
