Although Steve Harvey presides as a third-party judge in an arbitration court reality TV series, he spices it up with his humor. Admittedly, the Family Feud host is focused on hearing the “story” behind the cases. While he uses the law as the guideline, he is sifting through the behind-the-scenes information to come up with a compromise for the issues presented. Both parties enter the court with the understanding that they will abide by Steve’s ruling.

He Gets To The Bottom Of The Issues
Admittedly, Steve Harvey has plenty of experience on the “other side” of the law. Furthermore, he says he’s spent an abundance of time dealing with Human Resource Officers and picked up a few things along the way. Since he is a neutral third party, he isn’t required to follow legal procedures that are traditionally used in an authentic courtroom. Steve believes he has a lot to offer to a show like this. He said, “I knew I had to just be myself. Most judges are interested in the law: These are the facts, and that’s it.” Additionally, he says, “I’m going to dig up the story behind why people came to court vs. what they’re in court for.” Undeniably, Steve brings a funny, blunt quality to the courtroom. But one defendant finds himself on the receiving end of Steve’s uncomfortably matter-of-factness.

In Judge Steve Harvey‘s best fashion, he shoots a lying defendant with the truth. Undeniably, one clip of Steve in action during Season 2 surfaced on the show’s Instagram page. In the caption of the video, it refers to Steve calling out “all of the liars.” In the latest episode, one dispute was between two ex-lovers. While the drama unfolds, it reveals that the younger guy was scamming his much older girlfriend. When it is stated that he was lying to the girlfriend about 98% of the time, the defendant corrects the percentage to say it was more like 70%.

But Steve wasn’t letting him get by with that. He quickly claps back, “You think that’s good?” Furthermore, sharply pointed out, “You standing here saying 70% of everything you said is a lie. What good is the 30?” Then, in exasperation, Steve says, “You can’t be this dumb.”

As more information came forward, the defendant had lied about his age. Steve thinks that was pretty obvious, “You 32 years old boy. If you were really 40, you wouldn’t have said that.”
