After discussing various Hot Topics, the women of The View went around the table to share about their respective Thanksgivings.
When it came time for Alyssa to open about her break, the host announced some exciting baby news.
She began: “I had a nice, low-key Thanksgiving with my family. We were at this adorable little place, Mayflower Inn in Connecticut.”
Alyssa smiled broadly as she continued: “But the highlight: I became a godmother!
“My nephew had already been born, but I was asked to be a godmother, and it was just wonderful!”
Alyssa’s exciting news comes as fans speculate that she might be welcoming a child of her own.
The rumors began swirling in September after Whoopi Goldberg shocked her co-hosts and viewers alike when she asked Alyssa if she’s pregnant in the middle of the live broadcast.
During the episode, Whoopi stopped in the middle of a sentence about a political topic to ask the question.
She looked at Alyssa and asked out of nowhere: “Are you pregnant?”
Alyssa gasped and put her hand to her chest, insisting: “No! Oh my God!”
“You can’t say that when my mother-in-law is here, who’s dying for me to get pregnant!” Alyssa went on to scold Whoopi.
She continued: “Why? Do I look pregnant? Do I have a tummy?”
Whoopi apologized, explaining: “I just got a vibe. I’m so sorry.”
Since then, fans have been left wondering if Alyssa truly is pregnant, going on social media to point out clues.
