Soon-to-be Wheel of Fortune host Ryan Seacrest has thrilled fans with a rare comment showing that things are starting to ramp up.
Seacrest is taking over from the TV host and legend Pat Sajak, who is stepping down when the current 41st season of the show wraps up over the coming months.
Sajak has held the coveted presenter role on Wheel of Fortune since 1981, so the former Live with Kelly and Ryan host has big shoes to fill.

News and American Idol, and working as a producer on many others, Seacrest is a keen foodie, often sharing food and beverage-appreciation posts on social media.
One of his recent Instagram posts whipped fans into a frenzy after he teased his upcoming time on the Wheel of Fortune.
On February 18, Seacrest shared a short video and image of some of his favorite foods, tinned fish and hummus for anyone wanting to know.
At the time this article was published, the post had been liked almost 8,000 times by app users, with hundreds of comments left. One eager fan asked: “Ryan, it all looks delicious except…whatever fish! To each there own. Ryan could you PLEASE answer (I know you usually not but please) this, do you miss working at Live or excited about ur new job? Sure miss you in the mornings.”
Surprising the poster, he replied: “I’m very excited.”
Although short and sweet it was enough to hype up TV viewers who have been waiting for him to spin the wheel.
Lately, Seacrest’s content is mainly American Idol-focused, with him attached to the show as host since 2002 and auditions for the current season in full swing. Still, the little Wheel of Fortune update reveals that he will be giving his all to the show.
Wheel of Fortune typically airs from September until June, and providing that Season 42 follows the same pattern, spectators can expect to see Seacrest host the show in September/the fall.
Sajak announced his departure in June last year and said: “I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)”
The same month, Wheel of Fortune posted that Seacrest would be stepping into the role, and he took to Instagram to say: “I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak. I can say, along with the rest of America, that it’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them.”
He added: “Pat, I love the way you’ve always celebrated the contestants and made viewers at home feel at ease. I look forward to learning everything I can from you during this transition.”
“I can’t wait to continue the tradition of spinning the wheel and working alongside the great Vanna White,” he finished.
