In an Instagram video posted before the show, Robin, 63, revealed that she had fractured her wrist while playing tennis.
The Peabody Award winner showed off her cast and joked, “You oughta see the other guy. Why I oughta,” while playfully punching at the camera.
“I actually took a little tumble on the tennis court and fractured my wrist,” she told fans.
Robin remarked that in all her years being a competitive athlete this was her first fracture and would “hopefully” be her last.

The former ESPN sportscaster captioned the post, “Good Morning! Playing a little hurt this morning but Glam Fam and I would still like to share with you our #tuesdaythoughts.”
On Tuesday’s episode, GMA co-host George Stephanopoulos asked Robin, “How you feeling?”
“I’m feeling much better,” Robin replied.
She then joked, “I cannot confirm nor deny if I’m on pain meds,” as she pretended to get lost looking around the studio.
After her joke, Robin reasserted, “I’m doing much better,” after which fill-in host Gio Benitez added, “I know it’s been really painful… but no one makes a cast look cuter.”
Last month, Robin took a long-term absence from GMA but continued to share her adventures on social media as the morning show revealed her replacement.

Robin documented her time away by sharing videos on her Instagram Stories.
One video showed Robin outside of the Hawkeye’s arena.
The news anchor revealed that she had just finished her interview with Caitlin.
She then said that she was going to Los Angeles for her next interview but found time to shoot some hoops in the Hawkeye Arena before heading west.
Robin made it into the hoop as her Glam Team cheered.
The last video was of the clouds as she sat on a plane.
“Great time in Iowa. Crossing out beautiful country to next assignment in LA,” Robin captioned the video.
