Fans Love Snoop Dogg as a Coach
It’s been a few weeks since The Voice season 26 premiered. Now, after a few Blind Audition episodes, fans have run to Reddit to share their happiness. We won’t beat around the bush with this one, Snoop Dogg is a hit on The Voice.
Fans on Reddit have been commenting on just how funny Snoop Dogg is. Before stating their opinion, many fans state whether they’ve watched previous seasons, or if they’re totally new to the show and just a fan of the rapper.
“I don’t know about yall but this is the best voice I’ve seen since the early years. It may be the best ever. The camaraderie with these coaches is fluid, natural and mature. Not that dumbass stuff like Blake and Adam or Blake and everyone did,” a longtime fan commented. “The OGG “Snoop” Double-G Dawg is the BOMB!! He’s killing it. I always tell my husband “Snoop is the hardest working man in the nation”. That guy is EVERYWHERE bc he is SO GOOD so funny!!! THANKS PRODUCERS FOR GETTING IT RIGHT THIS TIME!!”

Fans replied to this Reddit Thread, agreeing with casting’s decision. One fan even thinks that “Snoop and Buble have really injected some life and fun” into the show.
Season 26 may be Snoop Dogg’s first season of The Voice, but he’s not a stranger to the competition reality show genre. He was previously seen as a judge on Go Big Show during the first season in 2021. Snoop Dogg was replaced in season two by T-Pain. In addition, Snoop Dogg hosted NBC’s American Song Contest with American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.
The Voice Fans Are More Critical Of Michael Bublé
Although fans are enjoying Bublé’s involvement in this season, they’re being more critical of him. For almost every post saying that Bublé is funny and doing well, there’s another saying that he has rookie commentary.
A fan commented, after watching the third and fourth episode of the Blind Auditions. They listed out a few notes they have regarding Bublé’s commentary:
– some of his pitches make me seriously cringe
– there have been multiple occasions where his commentary becomes a story about himself
– he comes across as inauthentic and a rookie
– the way he threw Snoop under the bus saying his team is loaded with country singers was telling
– his rap was not it …
– i f*cking love Snoop”

Other fans explained that the producers may be shining light on a different part of Snoop Dogg, which makes us notice the differences in Bublé.
“Agree that the producers are placing way too much emphasis on the coaches’ “funny” caricatures of themselves as portrayed on the show. Michael Buble’s pitches are an excellent example of this and it’s been run into the ground by this point,” they commented. “However, Snoop is (so far, anyway) another version of the same thing. He’s there being his funny Snoop self but why would anyone choose him to coach their singing? Maybe when we see him working with his team, we will see that he’s not just funny, he actually knows something about vocal technique. That’s what I’m hoping, anyway”
“I wasn’t sure about him at first. I think he is getting better at his pitches. His blatant humourous lies tonight were great. Love his rapport with Snoop,” another user commented.
Time will only tell if The Voice decides to bring both Snoop Dogg and Bublé back for another season in the future. Be sure to tune into The Voice on Mondays at 8pm ET to stay up to date with this season.
