The Los Angeles Dodgers completed a sweep of the Miami Marlins with a 3-1 victory, backed by strong performances from Gavin Stone and Teoscar Hernández.

The Dodgers have now won seven consecutive games, setting a season-high, and have swept back-to-back series.

Stone was once again brilliant on the mound, throwing seven innings while allowing just one run. He gave up five hits and struck out four, while walking no one.

The only damage came on a solo home run in the fourth inning by Bryan De La Cruz, who had a strong series overall.

This is the second time this season Stone has pitched seven innings while giving up one run, with his last coming on April 26 against the Blue Jays. In between those starts, he went six innings and gave up one run against the Braves as he settles into his role in the Dodgers rotation.

Stone now owns a 3.55 ERA on the year over seven games, striking out 27 hitters with a 1.27 WHIP across 37 innings.

For the Dodgers, all the offense came via Teoscar Hernández, who singled home Freddie Freeman in the first inning to put the Dodgers up 1-0. After the Marlins tied it, he gave L.A. the lead back in the sixth.

After Freeman doubled with two outs, Hernández hit a two-run homer, his 10th of the season, to give the Dodgers a two-run cushion.

That proved to be all the offense the Dodgers needed as their bullpen shut the Marlins down following Stone’s departure from the game to start the eighth inning. Michael Grove worked the eighth and Daniel Hudson had the ninth for the save.
