Days of Thunder is often forgotten in Tom Cruise’s filmography, but the movie will definitely become a major talking point over the next few years as the actor returns to this project for an unexpected legacy sequel in the same vein as Top Gun: Maverick. Cruise has several exciting movies in development, but Days of Thunder 2 feels like one that’s snuck under the radar.

While movies like Top Gun 3 and the upcoming space movie with Doug Liman have been widely discussed during the actor’s press run for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, conversations about Days of Thunder 2 have been limited.
