Patrick Mahomes goes through Bobby Stroupe’s ‘workshop’ after a rough season and there’s good news

Offense has begun for the Chiefs star

Kansas City Chiefs quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Shane Buechele have wasted no time diving into offseason training for the upcoming 2022 NFL season. Just a week after the end of the football season, Mahomes and Buechele are already back in action, eager to shake off the disappointment of the 2021 NFL season.

The two men find themselves training together, marking the beginning of what could be a productive offseason regimen. Their training sessions, overseen by famous trainer Bobby Stroupe at the Athlete Performance Enhancement Center (APEC) in Dallas-Fort Worth, were recently teased in a post by Stroupe.

A long-standing partnership
For Mahomes, training with Stroupe and APEC has been a long-standing tradition dating back to his school days. Their partnership has crafted a tailored routine that maximizes Mahomes’ unique skill set and physique.

“Did some fact checking and we actually did NOT lose to the bad boy Pistons 1991 NBA team in the NFL playoffs this year,” Stroupe wrote on Instagram to caption a couple of pictures showing Mahomes working out in the gym.

Buechele, alongside other athletes such as Mecole Hardman and Bobby Witt Jr., benefits from this specialized approach, enhancing their performance on the field.

This offseason presents a crucial opportunity for Buechele, who is expected to step into the role of the No. 2 quarterback for the Chiefs in the upcoming season.

With Chad Henne’s impending free agency, Buechele’s dedication to offseason training alongside Mahomes could solidify his position on the team.

Mahomes himself has commended Buechele’s work ethic, a testament to the bond they are forging both on and off the field.
