On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will play against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in Colorado for Game 1 of their first round playoff series.

 

Skip Bayless predicts "The Lakers are going to win tomorrow night and the series in 6"

In 2023, the Nuggets beat the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. But FS1’s Skip Bayless said on Friday’s Undisputed, “The Lakers are going to win tomorrow night, and they’re going to win this series in six games.”

The Lakers had a mixed regular season but ended as the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 47-35 record.

They beat the New Orleans Pelicans 110-106 in the play-in tournament.

LeBron James, a four-time NBA Champion at 39, is still one of the top ten players in the NBA and hasn’t slowed down.

Plus, the Lakers have a strong supporting cast with All-Star forward Anthony Davis, D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, and Rui Hachimura.

So, it’s possible the Lakers could make up for last season’s loss and surprise everyone.

But the Lakers lost all four regular season games against the Nuggets, making it 0-8 in their last eight meetings.

The Nuggets won the 2023 NBA Championship against the Miami Heat and ended this regular season as the second seed in the Western Conference with a 57-25 record.
