Megyn Kelly responds to bombshell report she’s set to form new CBS show to rival The View

Megyn Kelly fiercely responded to a bizarre report claiming the on-air personality is gearing up to form a new show rivalling ABC’s The View.

The bombshell ‘breaking news’ report, which surfaced on Friday, claimed the former Fox News television host, 54, would soon join television personality, Elisabeth Hasselback, for a ‘new conservative talk show’ on CBS.

The report, published by Read Update News, said the new show is ‘set to premiere in early 2025’ and ‘aims to fill a perceived gap in the market by providing a platform for conservative voices often overshadowed in mainstream media’.

Said to be named ‘The Morning Right’ the report claimed the program will feature ‘political commentary, cultural discussions, and interviews with high-profile guests from politics, entertainment, and business.’

However, Kelly, who now runs her own talk show and podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show,  featured on Sirius XM, took to X to dispute the publication’s claims.

‘This is a lie,’ Kelly wrote on the Friday post.

The podcast host went on to dispel additional rumors that she and conservative political commentator Candace Owens would instead be the pair chosen to shepherd the new daytime television endeavor.

‘And so is the BS about yours truly and Candace Owens doing a show on CBS. Why on earth would I leave the gig I have??’ she added.

Speculation that the long-time TV personality will head a new show is nothing new as rumors Kelly and Owens would partner up initially surfaced back in October with a since disputed report by BigOakBay.com.

The October 1 report claimed the partnership ‘between two prominent conservative voices’ would ‘shake up’ the traditional landscape of morning programming.

Yet, regardless of whom her co-host would be, Kelly has since refuted the illegitimate claims.

If the alleged CBS show were to ever be realized, it is likely the broadcast would be a close competitor to ABC’s hit talk show, The View, which features hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro.

‘The View has long been a dominant force in daytime television, known for its panel of diverse women engaging in lively debates on hot-button issues. However, its left-leaning stance has often alienated conservative viewers.

‘CBS is positioning The Morning Right as a fresh alternative, offering what they describe as “balanced, insightful conversations” from a conservative lens,’ Read Update News’ report claimed.

Recently, Kelly has made headlines with her revealing interview featuring Defense Department selection Pete Hegseth where she questioned the political pundit regarding a recent rape accusation.

Hegseth, recently poked by the President-elect to lead the Defense Department, thought that he ‘had to’ pay off a woman accusing him of rape because he was married and up for a new job and wanted to allegations to disappear.

A series of concerning reports have since cast doubt over whether Hegseth will remain Donald Trump’s pick to lead the department.

A woman accused the 44-year-old of raping her at the Republican women’s conference in California in 2017. No charges were filed but there is a police report of the allegations.

Speaking with Megyn Kelly on her show on Wednesday, Hegseth declined to disclose how much he paid the woman.

‘I paid her because I had to, or at least I thought I did at the time,’ Hegseth detailed.

‘She got lawyers that reached out to mine and said, ‘If you don’t come forward, and if you don’t pay money, then ultimately we’re going to out him.’ We were in the middle of a #MeToo movement. I had a great job at Fox and a wonderful marriage.’

He continued: ‘It’s not what I should have done… I did it to protect my wife. I did it to protect my family, and I did it to protect my job, and it was a negotiation purely to try to prevent that.’

Hegseth admitted on SiriusXM’s The Megyn Kelly Show that there is some truth to the flurry of damning reports.

In other news, just after President Joe Biden announced the shocking pardon of his son, Hunter, the host of The Megyn Kelly Show cited her late sister’s loss to the opioid crisis in slamming ‘spoiled f***ing brat’ Hunter Biden after his father gave him the presidential pardon.

Kelly spent her Monday evening show raging at President Biden lying to the American people for protecting ‘the Biden crime family’ after getting his long-troubled son off the hook.

On Tuesday, Kelly personalized the tragedy she believes many families feel after losing family members who weren’t able to get the free ride Hunter has.

‘Millions of people have this in their family where somebody you know and love got swept up into the opioid crisis,’ she said.

Kelly cited her older sister Suzanne Crossly, who died at the age of 58 two years ago after becoming addicted to opioids.

‘But my sister actually legitimately got caught up in the opioid crisis by a doctor telling her this thing was not going to be addictive, and then it was, and really never righted the ship again.’
