Malika Andrews is one of the most prominent ESPN personalities around.

Some people are fans of her work, others less so. But either way, there is no denying that Andrews holds a prominent place within ESPN’s larger structural hierarchy.

There is a reason Andrews’ salary is what it is relative to Stephen A. Smith.

On Saturday night, Andrews found herself going viral over her encounter with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James:

NBA fans are a vocal bunch, and not even the fact that Andrews is in a committed relationship with a fellow ESPN personality could derail them from offering their opinions.

Despite all that, clearly there is nothing going on between James and Andrews.

They are just friends who maintain a professional courtesy – nothing more or less.
