LEBRON James has broken his silence following his son Bronny’s health scare.

He tweeted: “I want to thank the countless people sending my family love and prayers. We feel you and I’m so grateful. Everyone doing great.

“We have our family together, safe and healthy, and we feel your love. Will have more to say when we’re ready but I wanted to tell everyone how much your support has meant to all of us!”

Bronny went into cardiac arrest on Monday during a basketball practice and the USC medical staff responded before the young star was rushed to the hospital.

A spokesperson for the family confirmed the incident to TMZ Sports.

An eyewitness to Bronny James’ medical scare exclusively told The U.S Sun.

“For a quick instant, we thought he did faint but the medical guys realized quite fast that it was something linked with his heart,”

“They reacted very fast, resuscitated him very, very fast and he got taken to the hospital very quickly too. It was great to have him surrounded by experts that could take excellent care of him.”

The witness added that bystanders felt “relief” when medics were able to transport him safely to the ICU.

“We saw that as a sign of improvement, and there was happiness to hear he was alive and better,” they added.

Cardiac arrest in teenagers can be fatal

Micke Schoonover, whose son Patrick tragically died from a sudden cardiac arrest at the age of 14 told The U.S. Sun Bronny James is lucky to be alive.

He stated: “They’re [the James family] probably now wondering about his future. I know he’s a future NBA star, and that will be a big push with his dad, but I’m sure they’re – hopefully – more concerned about his health than his basketball future.

“Had we known about Patrick’s heart conditions prior to him passing away, he would not have been able to play hockey or any kind of contact sports, but that would be okay. That would be something he’d have to adjust to, even though it would’ve been hard.”

He continued: “So if [Bronny] does get the news that his heart is not well for playing professional basketball, or even collegiate basketball, that’s a decision that he and his family are going to have to figure out.”

James family is on an ’emotional rollercoaster’

Three parents with child athletes who’ve suffered similar cardiac arrest have insisted that the James family is amid an “emotional rollercoaster.”

Dr. Richard Kovacs, a cardiologist with IU Health, told The U.S. Sun it’s likely Bronny’s sudden cardiac arrest was triggered by an arrhythmia, which can be caused by a variety of factors.

However, this information has not yet been confirmed.
