Kylie Kelce Breaks Silence On Harrison Butker’s Graduation Speech After Jason Hinted It Rubbed Her The Wrong Way

It’s been more than a month since Harrison Butker ruffled a ton of feathers with the commencement speech he was invited to deliver, and Kylie Kelce has officially chimed in after her husband Jason previously hinted she was less than thrilled with what he had to say.

There was no shortage of Discourse stemming from what Cheifs kicker Harrison Butker had to say to the graduates who earned their diplomas at Benedictine College on May 11th, which garnered a ton of attention (and blowback) thanks to his stance on hot-button topics including abortion and gender roles.

Travis Kelce (who’s played alongside Butker for the entirety of his NFL career) eventually chimed in on the topic on an episode of the New Heights podcast where his brother Jason provided one of the more reasonable takes I encountered while noting his wife Kylie “was a little bit frustrated with some of the comments.”

While it seemed somewhat safe to assume we’d moved on from the controversy, Kylie Kelce nonetheless got the opportunity to revisit it while chatting with Cheddar during an interview that primarily focused on a new initiative

she’s pursuing in conjunction with the Eagles Autism Foundation.

It’s safe to assume she exercised a bit more restraint than she did while discussing the matter privately with Jason, but she still made it pretty clear she didn’t see eye-to-eye with Butker, saying:

“I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I hope that if anyone does not align with those views in that graduating class that they know that they have just achieved something that no one can take away from them.

Their education will stick with them for the rest of their lives. I hope they were appropriately celebrated if that was not their view.

And if it was and they’re looking forward to making a family and being a stay-at-home mom, then more power to them. I think that as women we should support each other in our choices and making sure that we feel as though we can do whatever we would like to do.”
