Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings’ Jeopardy! host salary revealed before actress’ abrupt firing
THE salaries for Jeopardy! hosts Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings have been revealed.
Earlier this month, Mayim announced she’s been fired from the game show, and a new report claims Ken will get a bump in his pay after her exit.

Mayim, 48, took to her Instagram to reveal she’d been dropped as one of the two hosts of Jeopardy! after just over a year of taking on the permanent gig.
She and Ken, 49, took over as alternating hosts of the game show in July 2022 in the wake of longtime host Alex Trebek’s death a couple of years prior.
After the news hit that Mayim’s been let go from the role, her and Ken’s salaries were revealed.
She had a salary of $4million for her work on the regular primetime version of the game show, as well as the various side editions she helped host, according to Puck News.
Mayim was reportedly set for a $1million pay raise every year she stayed with the beloved franchise.
Ken was also making the same amount but after Mayim’s exit from the program, his pay is expected to increase with his next negotiation.
The late host Alex reportedly made $10million a year as host.
Mayim announced her firing from Jeopardy! on December 15.
The Instagram post read: “As the Holiday break begins in Hollywood, I have some Jeopardy! news.
“Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!.”
She continued: “I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been part of the Jeopardy! family.
“For all of you who have supported me through this journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff of America’s favorite quiz show, thank you.”
Jeopardy! confirmed the news soon after.
The show’s official Instagram post read: “Mayim Bialik has announced she will no longer be hosting the syndicated [or nightly] version of Jeopardy!.
“We have made the decision to have one host for the syndicated show next season to maintain continuity for our viewers.
“And Ken Jennings will be the sole host for syndicated Jeopardy!.”
“We are truly grateful for all of Mayim’s contributions to Jeopardy!, and we hope to work with her in the future on primetime specials.”
