THE View star Sunny Hostin has a new romance novel coming out later this month, and Joy Behar gave viewers a sneak-peek reading of a steamy excerpt.

On Thursday, both Joy and the talk show’s producer couldn’t help but hide in embarrassment after she read aloud the racy snippet.

Along with co-hosting The View, Sunny also writes romance novels on the side.

The first book in her Summer Beach series, Summer on the Bluffs, was released in 2020.

Last year, she dropped the second installment, Summer on Sag Harbor.

Fans of the series will be able to get their hands on the third book, Summer on Highland Beach, when it comes out on May 28.

To get everyone excited about the next installment, Sunny brought a copy on The View and asked Joy, 81, to do a dramatic reading.

“Why don’t we have Joy read some of the sexy parts,” she suggested after Sara Haines started chanting for someone to read it aloud.

“For some reason, I’m like the [sex therapist] Dr. Ruth of this table,” Joy responded.

Sara joked it was because it’s funnier to hear erotic books read in her New York accent, and Whoopi Goldberg jumped in to suggest Joy read the book as Dr. Ruth.

“Read it seductively,” Alyssa Farah Griffin requested.

After taking in all of their notes, Joy dove right in.

JOY’S DRAMATIC READING

“Desire hit her hard and fast. She was burning up, sparked by fire, lit by joy,” the 81-year-old read aloud, before asking as herself, “Really?” Behar said as she orated a passage.

“She’d forgotten how delicious spearmint tasted on her lips,” Joy read as she went back to the book, earning laughter and clapping from Alyssa.

After finishing that snippet, Joy asked Sunny if she should read another moment from the book.

But it was Alyssa who jumped in to demand that she “read the naughtier one.”

GETTING STEAMIER

“Oh, it’s so bad,” Joy revealed as she read ahead to herself, before confirming with Sunny that she truly wanted her to read it out loud.

After everyone urged her to do so, Joy read, “She finally honored his demand, cupped his a**, and guided him inside.”

She giggled on the last words before quickly slumping down in her chair and hiding her face behind her book.

Sara, Sunny, and Alyssa did the opposite, as they all jumped up and down in their seats, laughing and cheering.

The camera cut to show producer Brian Teta offstage, also hiding his face and shaking his head.

“That’s embarrassing,” Joy admitted about having to read the steamy scene aloud.

As everyone cheered and laughed, Whoopi cut in to give her interpretation of the book excerpt.

“Can I point out that she doesn’t say where she guided him,” the moderator said, bringing it back to the scene Joy read. “She could’ve guided him inside the house, you nasty folks!”

Fans at home couldn’t get over the wild on-air moment between all of the hosts.

“@JoyVBehar reading from @sunny book KILLED ME,” tweeted one viewer.

“Not Whoopi saying he didn’t say where he guided her,” they added. “It could’ve been she guided her inside the house. Ok, sure. That’s it.”

“Oh, holly hot potpourri tea, Sunny being raunchy,” a second fan wrote. “Go on, sister!”

“Joy being embarrassed was funny,” a third X (formerly Twitter) said.
