New  Los Angeles Lakers Lakers head coach JJ Redick already has an adjustment he’d like to see LeBron James make during the 2024-25 NBA season.

Redick, formally introduced as the 29th head coach in franchise history on Monday, told media members at his introductory press conference that he wants LeBron to take more three-point attempts next season.James, a career 34.8 percent shooter from beyond the arc, shot a career-best 41 percent from deep last year.

“JJ Redick says he wants LeBron James to take more 3s next season,” ESPN’s Dave McMenamin shared on X. “James shot a career-best 41% from 3 last year in his 20th season.”

James, who will turn 40 in December, attempted 5.1 threes per game in 2023-24 – his lowest per-game total in a season since joining L.A.

With that said, Lebron has shown the ability to increase his volume from deep in the past. In 2021-22, the four-time NBA MVP took a career-most 8.0 three-point attempts per game.

Coming off the most efficient three-point shooting season of his career, LeBron will look to continue his effectiveness from deep in 2024-25.
