After the June 17 episode, Jeopardy! fans posted their thoughts to Reddit.
Ty Patton hopped on the thread and told them he was there to answer any questions they had.
He shared a behind the scenes secret after a fan asked if Adriana Harmeyer got special treatment.
“I think they typically film five in a day. So this was the first episode taped, which caught me off guard,” Ty said.

“After rehearsal, I was getting ready to settle into the Green Room and lay siege to the snack table, only to be told I was going on stage immediately.”
“Since it was the first episode taped that day, I had not seen any of Adriana’s run,” Ty said.
“In the Green Room, as the wardrobe staff was going through everyone’s outfits, I noticed how long they were taking with hers as the wardrobe staff was like ‘ok, you’ve worn this, you’ve paired this with that, etc.’ and by my quick math I figured she had worn about 10 different outfits.”
“Outside of that, didn’t know anything. At some point it was mentioned how successful she was in FJ, which definitely played into what I did,” he ended.

In the Final Jeopardy round, Adriana wound up winning by only $200, after she and TY both answered correctly.
‘GAVE UP ANY CHANCE TO WIN’
Fans on Reddit praised Adriana’s win, but also pointed out Ty’s final wager.
He bet $13,399, but left him with $1 before answering correctly, and bringing his total to $26,799.
“The player in a close second position made a huge bet and gave up any chance to win if incorrect on FJ,” one fan said.
Ty joined the thread and acknowledged his mistake.
“Oh … and my FJ wager … I know. Knew it as I was doing it. I have about 1,000 words typed out about what I was thinking if anyone’s interested. Wrote it the day I taped because I knew future me would not be pleased,” he said.
Other fans said that it will take a “really good challenger” to beat Adriana.
